Essential : Educational & Other Qualifications:- Essential: (i) Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Marine or Automobile Engineering of a recognized University/Institute. (ii) 5 years of experience for degree holders and 6 years of experience for diploma holders in maintenance/overhauling and repairs of marine/auto diesel engines/hull repairs etc. in a reputed Shipyard/Marine Workshop and also in a Port Operations and Establishment in any State of India.(iii) Knowledge of Port Operations under the International Ships and Port Security code, the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958(Act No. 44 of 1958) and the Indian Ports Act, 1908(Act No. 15 of 1908) (iv) Knowledge of Swimming (v) Knowledge of Konkani.
