Essential : Educational & Other Qualifications:- Essential: (i) Good Academic record with at least 55%* of marks or equivalent grade at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. (ii) National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor: Provided, however, that candidates who are or have been awarded Ph. D. Degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges”. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Ph. D. or M. Phil. in the relevant subject. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi. * A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master’s level for the SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. NOTE: All candidates who were eligible to apply for above positions as on 28th February 2020 (Advt. No. 2 Year 2020) and 26th June 2020 (Advt. No. 5 Year 2020) with the above qualifications can apply. However, those who had already applied in response to Advertisement No. 2 Year 2020 or Advertisement No. 5 Year 2020 , and are eligible will be considered and they need not apply again except if: (a) they have acquired additional qualification (s) or (b) are applying under a different category than that applied for in response to Advertisement No. 2 Year 2020 or Advertisement No. 5 Year 2020.
