Essential : Educational & Other Qualifications:- Essential:(i) Master’s degree in Library Science and Information Science or Documentation Science or an equivalent Professional degree from a recognized University, with atleast 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever the grading system is followed). (ii) Consistently good academic record, with knowledge of computerization of Library. (iii)Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC) or Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission(UGC) like State Level Eligibility Test (SLET)/ State Eligibility Test (SET) or awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with University Grants Commission (UGC) standards and procedure for the award of Ph. D. Degree regulations and their amendments from time to time as the case may be. (Note:Fulfillment of other conditions and its exemptions shall be as per UGC guidelines). (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi.
