Essential : Educational & Other Qualifications:- Essential: (i) Certificate of competency as 1st Class Engineer (Motor) issued under the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (Central Act 44 of 1958). (ii) 3 years experience as 2nd Class Engineer on board foreign going /home trade ships. (iii) Certificate of sight test in Form Vision and Colour Vision from a Medical Board. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Knowledge of the Inland Vessels Act, 1917 (Central Act 1 of 1917), the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (Central Act 44 of 1958) and the Indian Port Act 1908 (Central Act 15 of 1908). (ii) Knowledge of Marathi
